Just listened to Adam Grant interview Sam Altman around the future of AI. At a time when I believe too many Silicon Valley leaders are talking about making broad swaths of knowledge workers extinct, Sam Altman brings a more human and empathetic view. To summarize one of my favorite quotes, "the tools are incredibly powerful, but my day-to-day is not that different." Second, (mid-interview) is that human's distrust and predisposition to dislike AI will slow the impact. Finally, they Adam Grant surfaces the idea of "valuing agility over ability" whereby the abilities to ask the right questions and connect dots will be more value than knowledge. I completely agree.
